Not satisfy with just burning down a large part of the rain forest each year, I can see Brazil are trying to flood it too.

Sometimes nature is a bitch.

The Amazon River is at 30 meters above its level. Moreover, the areas most affected are semi-arid regions that are not part of the Amazon region. Usually these states suffer because of drought, because the lack of rain.

Therefore, deforestation is not the cause of these floods.
